I'm sorry to post this, i spent 2hrs searching esato, google, etc. trying to find out how to do the above I would like someone (anyone) to point in the right direction.

Most of the serial port stuff should work but so far no success. I have XP sp2 & widcomm BT drivers.

1) Have you paired the phone and pc?
2) Have you set the phone to function as Modem.....
Go to control panel> connections>cable> select modem ( there are 2 options....pcconnect & modem)
3)If your serial ports are all set right, and the dial up connection you created is configured to use the p910 as modem, it should work fine....

Sorry i should have rephrased the title :?:

I mean i have internet on my laptop, and would like to share that through my BT dongle so that my P910i could 'share' the internet through the created BT connection.

But thanks for answering

The search function, if used right, is actually quite effective...

Also...I forgot to mention, the internal browser on the pxxx will not work for this.....so use Opera

Thanx Mrao for pushing out the details. . . . BtW> Defensive- have you gotten it to work the other way? That is using P910i GPRS to surf thru lappy? I too have WIDCOMM drivers with the Dongle, but am a novice with P9 usage. Even my avatar is set to S7, which I use more often. (P9 I will ONLY fully use once, Ajack/ Droll bring back their website online, coz I wish the lasted 'Sman' be installed on the device) This message was posted from a S700

errr..simple answer?

NO

It seems to be a problem for my BT dongle with the widcomm drivers to even connect to the P910i as a serial port, and without that then i cant do anything So at the moment i am still trying to use a workaround.

Been looking into Gnubox etc. but even they are nothing like i've used before. Its all a bit new for me, i've had my P910i for a day now and its my first ever Symbian/UIQ phone

Ah well maybe soon eh..
