ok bt broadband has this problem to often and i know what it is but i dont know why it does it

My connection keeps frigin disconnectin!!

heres what my router is reportin

System up time 1:19:51:33
Line up count 1128 (encvounting )

that basically means that in the 1 day and 19 hours sincve i reset the router the connection has reconnected 1129 times

the problem is that on ADSl the Noise margin has to stay low e.g. 8.5db but dfor some whack reason my one would suddenly adfter 10secs to 5 mins of reconnecting it would up jump to 110db+ then disconnect then do the same over and over...................

looks like im gonna need a dam bt engineer!

Actually mine has a problem where it seems to lose it's connection - I can't browse the 'net or recieve emails, but Messenger stays signed in? It's easily rectified by right clicking the '2-computer' icon in the system tray for the broadband connection, then clicking on 'repair'.

Try doing that next time the router disconnects itself - it may be a quicker way of getting back online instead of resetting the router.

If anyone has any ideas on my little problem (unless it's a similar problem to Z's) please let me know. I hope I'm not threadjacking here!
