I have a mate that is a Java programmer. He has just purchased a W800, and it is his first high spec phone. Until now he has never thought of developing for mobiles but he wants to start to create Java apps, and maybe get some UIQ specific software also.
I thought that it would be good to get some a thread going for Esato requests not just for my mate, but for any developers around to browse.
Please just keep it as requests for simple browsing. No Discussions.

A Java app which allows text to be cut and pasted would be great!

Is that it?... I was wondering if it may of been possible to make a video player for mpg. format or a divx player for k and w series phones.

I would really appreciate an offline Usenet newsreader (for UIQ) that will allow me to use my PC's broadband connection to download articles for offline reading (this, for some unfathomable reason, does not work with Newsgrabber, making it an expensive and useless toy for me).

An app for Podcasting would be nice. And dont take me for a buccaneer, but
some way of recording the Radio sounds live.. No, I dont have a voice fetish.. but do have a RJ whom I have befriended AND I like his witty comments.

How about an app that allows you to view Jotter files and sort them alphabetically? I have lots of Jotter files and find it a nightmare trying to navigate through them all to find the one I want.

I'd love to see an almost full screen keyboard for flip-off mode. Something you can use relatively comfortably with your fingers, with a sliver at the top for network info/time. maybe semi-transparent so you can put some nice pictures behind it........

A Sound Recorder app controllable via voice commands (like what already exists on the T610!), for in-car use.

Okay, maybe I am going overboard here. But some kind of Download Manager. I have not found one, if something already exists. Some movie trailers, and other unmentionable Flicks ;) sometimes are really big.
