At any rate, after trying it out, it lacks many of the features MSN has. Knowing Google, however, it won't be before long that Google Talk becomes the king of messengers.

Voip is interesting and no ad's or anything bloated like msn, it looks good so far but how it will be once it become popular (if) ? Might turn out like msn at the end ...

Yes, you need GMAIL account. And since I had it, I decided to download it . It's really empty right now.. But I suppose it'll grow and improve with time ! Though I have noone to add ...
