I want to buy a Shure 3C earphone* on my P910i. But it seems that the jacks dont match.

Plz pardon me, i am a complete novice in these matters, but how do i fit in the earphone's in my p910i?? So plz help me out.

Also, will it yield any good results??

R any1 of u guyz/gals using a different headset (apart from the one supplied by SE) and do u think they yield a better result?? Plz share ur opinions, and comments in this regard.

Thank u all

there are tons of places on the internet that sell the adapter needed.

Basically there are two different adapter types that people use, one is just a tiny headphone jack to a normal headphone jack and loses the microphone function of the old headset. This type is cheaper, but you have to unplug the connector in order to talk on the phone.

The other type of adapter has a microphone in-line before the headphone port.

I use an adapter with a microphone built in and my Sony EX-71SL headphones. I love the combo because I use the headphones for everything. Since my headphones have short cords, an adapter with a mic built in was perfect for me and I can still talk on the phone with my headphones in.

I've had a problem with a few three-way 2.5 mm adapters: if they don't fit _very_ snugly, the tiniest twitch of the adapter will trigger the fourth connector inside the Pee, the phone thinks you want to make a call and will suspend playback. That's a bitch in the middle of "Stairway To Heaven".

Does anybody have any experience on how to isolate that fourth contact from the adapter? Nail polish maybe, or a tiny fraction of a crimp sock?

Hi Md.. Why doncha try the Soldering experiment as suggestd on your other thread.. Or outsource it to Adventurous American Knight4Led and while at it, he may paint it nice ;).. I dont think, SP88A thing is THAT bulky to try... @Karel- Gud Lord ! This message was posted from a S700

here is my headset.

Made by a company called Seido. Has an answer button that works to end calls, answer calls and mute music players. Also has a retractable cord.

Edit: just saw your other thread on this subject. I will post there too.
