I have a Sony P910
Ive noticed that i had been missing a fair few calls and found the vibration on my phone had stopped working.
Rebooted and "Damn" upon bootup splash screen the short sharp vibe has dissaperaed too.
Made sure the checkmark was selected on the call settings.
No avail.
Upgraded the firware to CDA 162005/3 R5A02
Phone is CXC162042 R4E001 and still nothing.
Any thoughts as i have searched high and low for any topic with having the same problem and yet nada.
Many thanks in advance. Rob

While the phone is charging, vibration won't work. Have you tried it when it's not on charge?

the vibe motor could be bad. Its an easy part to replace once you take the phone apart. Just have to find one online, which I know I have seen before.

If vibration won't work anymore.
I think you just have to turn the ringtone
volume to maximum so that you won't miss a call.
That of course is if the warranty has runout, or
you can have it repaired.

Iv noticed this problem before i dont know what triggers but its usually been the following.!!!
Click on the sound icon -> select vibrating alert to on! some how it seems to switch to off sometimes. Check this first its easy to miss!
I seriously the motor could have gone on a 3.6v battery i know its a tiny motor but its unlikely! but if you dropped your phone most components in the p series are loose and can easily sometimes but rarely seperate from the contacts, all you need to do is take it apart and put it back together again! see

for dismantle and repair advice! hope this helps

Many thanks to all your replies..... have always quadrupled checked that the tick is present on the vibration setting and yes it still doesnt work whilst not on charge. Looking towards the problem of the motor not functioning and will look into a replacment or just might just leave it to give me a great excuse of not answering the phone

Cheers all, Rob
