> gprs Connection keep alive?

Hi guys i am using GPRS on my k750i but the problem is that my provider charge me for every time i make a connection is there any what that i connect once and keep it alive all day long . and which ever application needs to connect can connect.

How does your phone disconnect anyway? Also, i think gprs disconnects whenever a call comes in...

There is no way to have the GPRS on all the time. Nokias let you do that though. When you receive a call the GPRS should stay connected though.

well it's possible on the P-series to have the phone connected to gprs all the time... so It should maby be possible on K750i too....

Hi- I have a query whicg is the reverse. Is there a way to Discconet GPRS (kill it fully) ? After XYZ event or time ? I know the GPRS Timeout feature- has preset times. But even then the 'globe' / online icon stays ! What if I want it to disconnect on its own after downloading a Big File or Mails or whatever ? Ok, my Network charges Pay Per Use.. But what if its time based. Any Clue? Thanks in Advance

The gprs is time based try this control pannel>internet acounts>other> and then on gprs time out if you when it to stay connected tuill you disconnect it.Or you can choose the option wich is time out up two 2 minutes.Hope this helps

I know that there's a Symbian app called AppMan which allows you to shut down applications, including your browser... Useful since some apps don't fully shut down sometimes.
