best thing with this is prevention use a screen protector you can get them from ebay, or you could try a very weak polish like wood polish i wouldnt be prepared to risk it though! i find keeping my phone in a sock in my pocket is good to prevent scratches, if you have a very nasty scratch it might be worth replacing the screen but that can be costly for a scratch! if it was a scratch in the plastic then it would be an easy answer but in the screen its a tricky one as the top layer is like a plastic membrane, then you have glass then lcd then circuit i dont know if polish would damage the plastic membrane and stop it working, iv got a smash p800 at home i might try some on that i kno the display is messed up but i can test to see if the touch sensors still work on it.

Nice effort Dan !! I am myself trying to figure out something similar. A P8 LCD which crackd, has been lying around. Since it looks like a surface damage, I wished to check it more. Anyway, its spare after getting replaced by a new one.
