Have any Orange UK-branded P910i users here attempted to remotely unlock their phones at www.totalmultiserver.com or www.davinciteam.com?

If so, how did it go? I need a response specifically from Orange UK P910i network subscribers please.

Are there any other online unlocking services that are known to work robustly with the Orange UK P910i?

Thanks in advance.

@ Jon - You know about Sman, I know about Unlocking/Debranding Basicially the main option is to use Davinci, this is a program which will flash your phone to another firmware, basically erasing your phones network branding and replacing it with original stuff Which is the main reason people do it.

It is very very easy to do once you have the basic, although it is NOT free, you buy the credits for the files and confirmation downloads, this costs anything from £8 upto £12 depending who you buy from. I have quite a few credits which I bought in bulk which I use daily, these credits are good for ONE TIME ONLY so dont mess up

Please feel free to for Davinci unlocking/debranding on esato or just google it and you will find a ton of information on this subject.

But why would he use Davinci to debrand a P910i anyway, when the Davinci server doesn't support the debranding of P910is?? Far from being the "main option", it is in fact no option whatsoever!!

But whatever, this thread is about the *unlocking* of Orange UK P910is. Have you personally unlocked an Orange P910i using Davinci, or know anyone who has??

I have -- or rather, I tried. **Davinci didn't work.**

Jon was asking about debranding in general not the P910 specifically I wish you would have read that before making that pointless remark. Also I am fully aware that the davinci server as yet doesn't support the P**0 series of phones.

Er, no he wasn't.

He was asking *me* about the software *I* used to *unlock* my P910i. I think that was quite obvious when he said "Ive never unlocked a phone..... Am i right - this software of the site u used, is it free? and is it easy?" Clearly, you haven't read this thread closely at all, have you?

Also -- whilst Davinci doesn't support *debranding* of P910i's and P900's, it *will* unlock them (according to davinciteam.com, though as I say it didn't work for me). So, with respect, you don't seem to be "fully aware" about much at all, do you?

www.totalmultiserver.com isn't free -- you pay for each unlock operation you want. Various outlets sell unlock credits for totalmultiserver (including the totalmultiserver site itself, but at £10 they're £2 more expensive than, say, from www.fonefunshop.co.uk!).

But that's all you'll pay *provided* you've got your DSS-25 sync cradle to hand, otherwise you need to buy a special cable.

The software that you download is a doddle to install (just a single .exe file) and use, but I strongly advise referring to the specific instructions given on the totalmultiserver site. Some of the credit resellers have developed their own sets of instructions and these often appear to contain inaccuracies and/or haven't been kept up to date as necessary.

My final point is that at £8 or so, an unlock credit is money well spent. Apart from the obvious convenience of having an unlocked phone, you'll recoup that money three or more times over I reckon when the time comes to selling your phone on eBay or wherever.
