i am a new mobile user..i just got k700i secondhand.. i got a data cable and a cd with drivers only for that cable.. my mobile is not detected! need help.. any other softwares required?

You can't do software updates over Bluetooth.
Bluetooth performance is a function of the software you have installed.
If you remove the present software to install a new one, the B/T won't work.
You need to use a DSS-25 Sync Station to update software. End of story.

Hey i also owe a k700.FIRST OF ALL MAKE SURE THAT ALL UR MOBILE ASSESORIES ARE FUNCTIONING WELL.My advice is u should use an Infra-red device,install Microsoft Windows XP on ur PC as it supports a number of USBs and Xp has a huge driver data base(K700i's drivers are aslo plesent).Most important:check ur motherboard's bios setting and enable the usb port.
if it doesn't work than try upgrading ur PC and FONE both!!! hehehe

yeah my usb cable is detected.. i downloaded and installed file manager... i gave the port setting right.. still my pc did not detect my phone.. is there any option for usb in bios? bu what other means can i connect my mobile to pc.. please help!!!
