Not according to O2, it's only on contract.
You must be lucky to have the, almost full web access by proxy, up and running. I 've connected a few times since they stopped it, but I'm starting to give up on it. It seems impossible now.
It seems possible to connect to the wap portal with my nokia browser, but their firewall seems to recognize internet explorer on my PC and blocks all incoming traffic.
The nokia wap browser can pick up http pages, so I reckon the only way is to "spoof" which browser you are using somehow.

ok, change incoming server address (mail.o2.co.uk) too 193.113.160.013
this should allow u to connect to ur email with o2 p&g gprs hopefully this works without using port 8080
