i know some by just looking at my contacts but with more and more numbers being produced how can you tell without calling and asking?

might be useless to some but helpfull to me

That sites really intresting Cytech. Thanks not only does it tell you what network the number is on, it also tells you when the number was activated. Which I tried to see if it would recognise my numbers and it did. Especially my t-mobile number ihave had it since 1993 and it told me it was activated in 1993.

It is sort of correct. It says my number is on Vodafone when it is actually on O2 as I changed networks in january.

well yeah i guess it dose not take into consideration when numbers are ported to other networks, but still its useful to know, plus it gives an option to check your imei number and when checking mines, it gave all the details of my handset

@unique_1

If you enter your number on http://www.numberingplans.com/index.php?goto=isdn (Phone number analysis under 'Number analysis tools' in the left menu) you get some info on it
