I have just ordered from LostMyPhone.com, but am having my doubts about their business practices. I have been trying to get an update on my order, and when you call their two numbers, you get recordings saying nobody can come to the phone. The don't respond to faxes or emails, as I have sent both. They charged my credit card, but will not respond to me. I will see what happens over the next 24 hours before I report them to my bank and the FCC.

Reputable vendors only charge you cc/account after the merchandise is shipped. Also beware of vendors that do not have a physical street address.

That's not strictly true. Most companies, reputable or not, will put your cc details through the card machine / payment gateway and, in some cases, even wait for the money to hit their bank before they send the goods out. It's no different to a shop keeper not letting you take the goods out of the shop before you've handed over the money.
I'm not saying that this website / company is legit or not but you can't gauge it by them charging the cc account first.

At least you paid with a cc and have recourse if they don't send you anything, then you can sick the cc company on them.
