wap on GPRS works fine, but email via GSM interface doesn't find the server :/
(with dialing setup it works)

If it is via GPRS, make sure you enter the IP addresses of the mailservers instead of the DNS names.

it isn't the same server adress with GPRS?
Because when I didn't have the GPRS, it works

you use the same mailservers when using mail over GPRS as when you are using mail over GSM, but you need to enter the IP-address (for exampel 145.193.12.1) instead of the DNS address (for example mail.server.com) when on GPRS

I have entered the IP adress before too (dns adress didn't work on dialing too)
but it doesn't works if I "connect" via GPRS instead of dialing

entering the IP address of the server is optional. using the server name also works (and much easier to remember)

can you receive mail, or you just cant get mail?

some users have problems sending mail because their smtp servers were those from their dial-up service providers, which usually needs authentication. use your GPRS servie provider's smtp server instead.

mmmmmm lets see...

from personal experience, it is far better to use the IP than the mail.server.com format dunno why but it just neva fails that way

as 4 u using gprs well i got me pop3 mail retrieval set up via GSM dial up which wrks fine but like mr t65 owner wanted 2 use gprs but it always failed sayin cannot find server

but i have found a bizarre random solution which sounds silly but actually wrks... all ya gotta do is check ya mails (send/receive option) using the gsm dial up method n then change ya mail settings so it connects vis your gprs account n then choose send/recive again

wallah !! it wrks !!!

no shit i did this last nite n now i can get me mails via gprs

obviously iz using t68i thogh so dunno if it is wholly applicable 2 t65

but thats my 2 cents
