when i open the flip, i can see the phone options for the speed dial page, but not the applications, the 4 dots are up there, but nothing happens when i click on it....
when i removed the mem card, they are there, but none of the apps that are installed in the mem card turn up....
i can use file manager to access all these apps and then run them, except for ogg play, which says access denied . . .
also i did an internal mem format and then started afresh, i have instaleed file manager and booster in int mem, rest of the apps including ogg play in card....
what is the best course of action to get back application menu?
P.S i installed the apps using PC Suite over I.R . . . i also have a mem card reader

@gov....are you saying that
1. the Apps menu ( 4 dots) works fine if you remove the mem stick
2. When mem stick is inserted you are not able to either view the apps on it in the apps menu or run them .
3.Have you tried a different mem stick tocheck whether its a phone problem or a corrupt mem stick issue?
4. Reformatting the C drive may not be the solution, but reformatting the mem stick may work...did you try that?

1/2. yes, and after i put it back, i can see only the apps installed in int mem
3. no i dont have another mem stick
4. it was working fine before the reformat... you see, i have not done a reformat after buying the phone, so i sync'd contacts and then did it... ( i am putting anew stick, so i thot i did start afresh)

What about the 16 mb stick that comes with the phone??
Brand new stick still needs to be formatted...im guessing you still have all the apps on your pc...so try formatting the D drive on the phone...there should be an option for that in the control panel and then try adding the apps onto it...this most certainly aint a phone issue but is a mem stick issue....and you mentioned that you are able to run apps on the mem stick thru file manager...what was that???

the 16mb is not available ( read, stuck in a lappy)
i installed File Manager in int mem, so after i removed the stick, i got FM back, so i open'd it, select mem card and then went ahead and double clicked on .app to open it...

i think reformatting the stick should work...i doubt if formatting the internal memory has any relevance to this problem...
p.s...how did you manage to get a mem stick stuck in a laptop?

Im guessing you tried to insert it without the adapter

this might be unhelpful advice, but i figure its worth a try.
press and hold jog dial towards yourself (forward) for about two seconds.
this usually loads applications menu.

Are you using P800 (assuming due to avatar)? I've never had this phone but I remember a lot of people had this problem. It's sort of a bug and I think Sman has a function that brings back the app list. As far as I know it has nothing to do with certain apps, so you can reinstall Sudoku. Lovely game!
