Does any one know How much useable memory would i get from a 1gig duo im aware from my mmc's you don't get the full 128mb useable thanks for your help
As im thinking of buying a 1gig duo later today

The differences are because manufacturers quote unformated sizes, when the card is formatted some space is lost in filesystem overheads (little bits of data that are used by the operating system to let it know what files are where etc).

I think the manufacturers mostly quote unformatted sizes because 1gb sounds better than 960 mb but they would probably argue that they don't know how you're going to format the card and different file formats will have different overheads

Thanks i think they should allow so you get the full memory to loose over 50mb is alot thats sure to double on a 2gig
Card why do they need that much space its not fair
