As far as i know, u cant play a 3gp file on wmp.

i think the reason(s) people don't use quicktime is because

a) there are much better players on the web
b) they can't be bothered to download quicktime
c) everytime quicktime opens there's that stoopid "register quicktime 4.0" or something splash screen and you always have to click "later"
