wapt & raja,

tried both method, those did not work as well.
I've tried to delete all and copy from sim again.. and everything seem ok now.

initially.. all the contact were sent from t630 via bluetooth. so i think must be something wrong during the contact sending process.

thanks guys. appreciated the prompt reply.

Are you sure the mobile numbers are entered into the actual "Mobile" field in the contact?

all the contacts were transferred from my t630 via bluetooth.

strange thing happened was, when i tapped on the contact name in the contact list, i could not edit the entry... there was no entry screen for me to update contact details.

so i guessed.. incompatible contact storing method used in t630. (i used the send all feature in t630 to send all the contact to my p910i)

click on the contact, the click edit -> edit contact, make sure they are all set to mobile, i promise you it is this! its nothing wrong wih the phone, if it was incompatible it wouldnt have worked at all. you definately have set them in the wrong field

walmsley_d,

the strange thing was, when i clicked on the edit contact, the screen went blank, and the blank screen just 'hang' there, waited 2 min.. the blank screen still there.. and without any 'busy' indicator to show the phone is processing something.

after i deleted all the contacts and recopy it from my SIM, even the contact no was set in 'work' and NOT 'mobile'. both fields shown on the screen when i click on the contact person's name (together with the send sms icons beside the contact no.)

i did own a p900 before i get this p910... this is something very strange i've encountered. but thing is resolved now.
