when you're not logged in you may see a different time than when you are logged in. This is because when you are not logged in the system has no idea what your local time zone is.

If you are seeing the wrong time when you are logged in then you haven't set your time zone correctly so Edit Your Preferences and make sure its set correctly

Mine is set correctly, and in the preferences it says that it is tuesday the 6th? Weird!

@mass, ive noticed that if i edit a post, the time it was edited, does not really tally with the system time..which is aligned with the time zone set in the user preferences....any idea why that happens??

edited at 0442 hrs....but the edit message below says 23:42

@mrao, I just did a test and that seems fine to me

none if this is really a big deal, especially if you're using the "new posts" feature in the top menu to see new posts, so I would worry about more important things

edit: even your edits look fine to me compared with the original posting time
