I have heard that a K750i flashed to W800i firmware still accepts calls in flightmode/musicmode... Can anyone that has a flashed K750i check this?

If it is true it would be a serious blow to all those that has flashed the K750i to W800i......

I don't think so mate, I think it works exactly the same as the real w800i, the best guy to ask is defensive, he'll have the answer for you!

yep...flight mode does work....this means no signal during flight mode - this is for a flashed k750i with w800i firmware just to clear this up..

Thanks. I had my K750i flashed to W800i, but I didn't test until I sold it and got a "real" W800i.

This means that the flight mode really does mean that the phone doesn't recieve any calls (on a flashed K750i)? I know that it looks like that (crossed over dignal bars etc) but what happens when one calls it? The "real" W800i doesn't accept the call (diverts to voice mail).

Please check...

I was recently on a plane and was told by the stewardess that they would not allow you to use phones with 'fight mode', I don't know if I'm recalling itright but I belive they said it was an IATA thing.

What if I don't know the answer!

Only kidding with you all, yes the flight mode in a flashed W800i from K7(five)0i (sorry my number five key is playing up ) DOES work 100% - It completely disables the operators signal so not even emergency calls can be made. Just like having a 1gb mp3 player in your hands.

Also I have been told that I couldn't use my phone on the plane whilst flight mode was activated, I later found out that this is Excel Airway's personal rules that NO electrical devices must be used throughout the whole flight.

I also remember somebody creating a thread about airlines and mobile phones and getting replys to that point, if I can find it I will post the link to it here. It makes for interesting reading.

Hello erg

For more information on the conversion to W800i visit www.davinciteam.com or right here on Esato.

Both places can give you information on why you would want to and the good AND the bad things that can happen through this process. If you can't find much information I will be happy to post some links to interesting pages that have already covered this subject.
