My K700 was playing up, the phone would freeze whilst searching for the network.
I decided the only thing to do was update it, i couldn't do the first automated seus update as i can't get the phone to boot up fully as explained.
So i opted for the recovery mode, the program initialised the phone and the update started and reached 100% and then told me there was an error communicating with the phone.
As a result of this i can no longer power up my k700, the power button does nothing, i don't even get a charging indication.
i have tried DaVinci and it asks me to 'shortly press the power button' all that does is light up the green LED on my DSS-20.
this is similar to this thread http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=99218&r=a

My battery isn't flat, but it won't acknowledge the charger anyway?

HELP!?!?

i have spoken to SE, they've directed me to Carphone warehouse, who want to charge me £40 to flash my phone.

I was hoping i'd be able to re-flash using davinci/SEUS

thats the problem i'm pretty sure it's over a year old as my contract has rolled over to the second year. Also i'll be dammed if i can find the reciept.
As i didn't buy the phone from carphone warehouse they're bound to charge me.
My only concern with this is if i do indeed pay them the £40 and they flash my phone what guarantee have i got that the phone will work anyway. will i be reimbursed if the phone is dead?

Don't tell them to flash the phone, tell them I woke up one day and found the phone not booting up and I want it fixed. This way they'll be responsible for getting it working again. 99.99% they'll start by re-flashing it first and it will work.

Well that was good... took it into carphonewarehouse they held on to it for a week, then called me to inform me they couldn't even start repairs on my phone untill i can supply a valid reciept. I looked for a couple of days and can't find it.
So i ask how much it would cost to repair without a receipt.

£75!!!!

They sell them brand new on O2 PAYG for £100

So i'll collect my broken phone and i'm back to square 1!

Any ideas NE1????
