Today I found a software for Nokia phones that gives the ability to talk on your mobile using a Voip soft like Skype on your computer by bluetooth connection. It's been a long time I'm looking for a solution to use my sonyericsson to talk on Skype using the bluetooth device, so that I won't be seated in front of pc during the call.
What do you know about that? Do you know a soft like that?
Is it possible to develope such a program for sonyericsson phones?
Best regards,
Arthur

Buddy, for the P-Series it might be possible to develop a bluetooth linked skype terminal but not for the 'rest' .The program you have found is actually written for a S60 :-) and yes it does work but only within 5-10m of the pc.Nice gimmick thou.

Hello animalmafia: thx for the link but that's not exactly what I'm looking for. You can find the software for nokia phones searching for "Skype" on the site
www.downloads.com. I'm not sure if its freeware. Perhaps u find a crack on p2p network.

Why do you have to make life so complicated? I found a service (ticinocom.com, but in italian only) that allows you to install an adapter to which you can connect a normal cordless DECT phone and use VoIP with it...
So, computer shut down and I can receive all calls anytime. Can call on all phones (i.e. not VoIP) at all time, for CHEAP prices.
Bottom line?
I don't see why you want to have a Bt SW for your PC to make VoIP calls. But that's just me.
If some operators release a flatrate UMTS subscription it might become interesting to have VoIP on mobiles (calls between the same VoIP providers are free and towards the rest of the world they are utterly cheap).
Cheers

There is a lot of mobile VoIP clients for Symbian OS that can make Skype or SIP or VoIP calls. The list of these VoIP clients
