> Dss-25/K700i sync station connection problems

I have just bought a Dss-25 sync station, & have loaded the software & drivers onto my pc. (I am running windows 2000 Professional).
When I connect my phone (Sony Ericsson K700i) to the sync station,my Com port for the USB in the 'link properties' window automatically say 'connecting'. This is as far as it gets, & never actually recognises my phone. Where am I going wrong?
