When i was changing the housing of my phone, i left out the piece of plastic that goes in the lens that is painted black with a little small transparent bit left in the center! i also cleaned all the lens cover and when i used the camera again in good light levels it was much improved and in low light levels it was like it was before in good light levels! its a noticable difference! i think its cos the black ring filter bit i just described might be blocking some ambient light out and without it the light intensity getting to the CCD is improved possibly im not a camera expert!
