Tried updating last night and it seems the latest version is still R1L.

Guess it takes a while for Orange to plagiarise a firmware release before they unleash it on us Orange customers.

Yes,

When I first got the phone I updated it to R1L which made the Bluetooth a lot more stable.

The latest version of the firmware for the k750 on Orange is R1N035. I have that version on my phone, updated from the SEUS yesterday.

Orange are on the R1N035.

However I can also confirm that Orange didnt block and SE updates.
SE when they released the update at the begining of the week only released the unbrannded versions and no network versions.

People who had a purchased there phones from 02 dont always get a branded version and this is why they were able to update.

Heres the current list
Orange is the only network that currently in the Uk is R1N035
T-Mobile are still on R1J so you can say that they dont do the update.

Unbranded UK (CDA102338/38) - R1N035
Orange UK (CDA102338/12) - R1N035
O2 UK (CDA102338/16) - R1L002
Vodafone UK (CDA102338/68) - R1L002
T-Mobile UK (?) - R1J002

When my phone broke a couple of weeks ago, The Orange Tech support asked me what version of phone software is and did i know about the update site.

I did and it was already uptodate.
I asked the guy that is this a question they aske for SE phones, he told me yes and Orange approve of the service. Its better for them and Customers who can always be able to update there phones.

Se made the delay in releasing the firmware and not Orange not accepting this.

Hope this helps.

Just to be clear, is the website updating with ghastly Orange icons?

I am one of the few who got through when Orange briefly forgot to block the SE website updating their phones with Orange firmware and, as a result have an Orange phone with "proper" SE icons. I am, however, a bit scared to update from my current firmware in case it returns me to Orange icons....
