> Why FM radio depends on headset as an antenna?

I think is time for SE to develop a phone with built in antenna for radio FM. This will allow even the bluetooth headset to work freely with FM radio.
Just a suggestion. thanks

Could be something to do with interference. Maybe that's why separate antennas are used.

for good reception, you will always need an aerial. take your car aeirial off, see if you can still pick up FM.....

yah I know the function of antenna and to quote someone there, not all cars has external aerial and still they are having the better reception of signal. But to make things handled potably with this new technology I think it is possible for built-in aerial for radio.

I second that.
I used to makes radios (a little hobby of mine). AM radio use internal antenas (its a ferrite rod with fine wire wrapped in a coil). FM radios do not use ferrite rods but rely on a straight antena/cable. Dont know if you noticed but if you wrap the earphone cable near the phone the radio dies!

Unless you live not too far from the transmitter (and i mean very close) you still wouldn't pick up much at all. All you would hear is static. For cars without the big antennas, i thought they used a wire in the winshield or something like that. Either way, there is still an antenna.
