I'm dying to buy a w800i, however, it's 500 bucks through Sony Ericsson and MAYBE 460 if I go through some shady online retailer. Obviously, when Cingular starts selling it, theyll have a nice discount on it with a two year contract. I've called Sony Ericsson's support line, Cingular's support line AND three Cingular stores in my area - the Sony Ericsson guy wasnt sure and NONE of the Cingular people had even HEARD of the w800! Anyone heard when it might be sold through Cingular?

The w800 will **NOT** ever be sold by cingular. (at least not this model) Cingular's network uses 850mhz/1900mhz. This phone only recieves the 1900mhz here in usa. Cingular isn't about to sell a phone that a small part of their network can use. Isn't gonna happen. Sorry! T-mobile doesn't use 850mhz, so it isn't an issue.

If you really want a walkman phone, try this phone. It WILL work with cingular (but may not be sold by them. I don't see them doing it..)

depending on where you go, yes. It all depends on where you go. It's kinda risky.
