Hi you all,
I have just got the 8800 for my wife, it is a great phone.
However I have few questions:
1) How long the battery lasts, because it only lasts about 1 day with her, and she is not a heavy user.
2) I would like to know what is the total memory size you have (used and free)
We have 46MB.
3) Also, can you change the ring tone for the messages?

Thank you all.

I might, however I like this forum because I have a W800i myself and I do love it more than the 8800.

Hi,
I too am a 8800 user:

1) battery life is rubbish lasts me about 18hrs with moderate use, thats why they give you two of them.
2)Ive so far only used 26mb of memory.
3) Yes you can change the message alert tone.

Thank you Jensy,
You have used 26 MB but could you chick what is the total memory Used and free. The phone should have 64, and we can say 2 to 5 MB gone for the system. We should have a minimum of 60 MB all we have is 46MB

I got a Nokia 8800, great looking phone, good features, i thought i'd give Nokia another chance but i sent it back after a week because of the utterly abysmal battery life, and the poor memory. I really thought they had turned a corner, but it turns out they've spent all their design budget on making it look pretty...my p900 battery lasts a week no probs, and its far more advanced than the 8800, and i used it much more heavily than i did my 8800, which i used just for calls.

a definite no for me either, battery life is ridiculous. it should be ashamed to have a nokia logo on it.

All is right, however for a woman I think it is not bad.

Oh its not a bad phone at all, its stylish, and is good to use, but the battery life really lets it down for me. Stick it on charge overnight and it will be fine, but im away a lot with no access to a power source, so one day battery life is no good to me.
