i got a a1000 which i found (free).
so i can mayb get £50.
or definately get a v600 bluetooth headset and £10.
so wot is beta

I'd go for a Moto V600 anyway - my girlfriend has one of those and she's really pleased with it and loves it. Or get a V500 - practically the same phone, only real difference is that the V600 can play back videos (but not record them) and the casing.
Or, for a third option, why not go for a secondhand
K700i? Better phone featurewise (can record vids too)
And do the right thing, hand the A1000 in. If it's not claimed within a month, it becomes yours anyway!
