Hi
I've had a good google for this and I can't find anything quite right. So I need to ask the experts.....
I have a p910 which is brilliant for work but too big for the evening. So I got myself a nice V3 razr.... I now have 2 numbers that I use. One for work and one for social calls. I don't mind forwarding 1 to the other when I don't have 1 phone on me and paying the forward charge.
What I want to know is what is the best way of setting this up. I currently use speed dials to do this using **21*....# and ##21# to cancel
Does there exist an app that I can use to send my p900 an message or code that will turn my forwards on and off from another phone? It would very cool if I could do this to my V3 as well but it's more a "prettyphone" than a smartphone...
Alternativly how can I get both nos. on both phones? I'm on Orange UK for both nos.
All ideas welcome.... boffin

Orange UK used to do a service called Everyphone -- where you could set up diverts for any Orange number simply by dialling an 07973 number from *any* other phone, mobile or landline.
Sadly, however, Everyphone was axed a while back -- one of the many 'improvements' introduced by the new regime.
Any road, the immediate solution to your problem is to avail yourself of Orange's unique (in the UK) Line 2 provision -- 2 numbers on the one SIM. All you need to do then is swap the SIM from one phone another as required. You can port one of your existing numbers to be the Line 2 number, keeping the other number as the Line 1 number.
Alternatively, use this twin SIM adapter:

It works on both phones you mention. You'll still have to faff about swapping it from one phone to another as required, but at least you can set up and cancel diverts on either number as required at any given time.
I use this particular adapter on my own P910i, and it works a treat -- just avoid using the metal sleeve it comes with (cos it then makes it a real bugger to fit) and use tape instead.
A third option, if feasible, is to use just one number for both business and social calls and swap the one SIM card between the phones as necessary.

Thanks scormie. V helpful.
It appears that Everyphone on Orange does exist but only if you are 50+ employee company. Annoying... If only I could magically make my one man band look a bit bigger.... That has to be a bit illogical. Most people know that if you are a small business then you are the ones that need to be reachable all the time. If you have 50+ people then people can cover for you.
Line 2 would be great if I didn't have to swap sims. The point is to avoid doing just that. It's fiddly and wears out the sim and the phone and is generally a PITA.
I guess that just leaves the dodgy cloning option. This makes me very nervous. I have 2 questions on this. Does cloning actually work on *current* UK sims or are voda/orange etc constantly changing things - ie who is winning the battle? Presumably you can only ever use 1 phone at a time. What happens if they catch you? dead sim and account killed or dead phone?
Ta. boffin.
