just make sure you set up a WEP key.
After you set up a WEP key make sure you connection is set to OPEN (if you want the PSP to connect)
Give your router a name you'll remember, then in the settings make sure you hide the router so no one can scan for it)

click there, that'll take you to your routers settings page.

What's a WEP key and how do you set one up?
How do you access the router settings? I can't get that link to work.
Do I need to insert the installation CD-ROM to change security settings?

And also, how do I connect my printer to the wireless network?

@boyi
Thanks that link worked.
However I've had ALOT of trouble securing my network. I've locked myself out TWICE and had to press the reset button both times.
My instruction book says:

WARNING: If you are configuring the Wireless Router or Access Point from a computer with a wireless client, you will need to ensure that security is turned ON for this wireless client. If this is not done, you will lose your wireless connection.

So in non-jargonese, how do I ensure that security is turned on for this wireless client?
P.S. I'm using a Belkin 54g Wireless Router and Microsoft XP sp2

Any advice much appreciated.

Pretty Random I know, but I wrote this a while back:

Just to make you slightly more paranoid, and maybe to explain the 'security' situation a bit more clearly

Yes I'm aware of the risks, thats why I switch off the router when my Laptop is not in use. However, I would like the enable some proper security measures and need to know how to find my computers 'MAC Address' and how to enable security for the wireless client.

Anyone??

Click on 'Start', then 'Run', then type cmd and press enter. When the black command prompt window appears, type in ipconfig /all and press enter.

This shows you the details of every networking device attatched to your PC as well as 'virtual adapters', which you'll all be glad to hear we don't need to go into here!

What you're looking for is the line that says 'physical address' under the list of settings for your wireless network card / built-in wireless adapter (if it's a centrino for exaple). That's the MAC address.

As for the client security issue, I'm not really sure to be honest. I've never come across that particular issue before although usually, I set up wireless security usng a physical connection via an ethernet cable, then go wireless when it's all done. That way, you don't get accidentally locked out!
