> k700i 'Ronnied' after firmware update

Yesterday, I attempted to update my unlocked uncustomised K700i with the service on sonyericsson.com. The update succeeded and the phone worked perfectly afterwards. However, after having turned the phone on this morning, the phone did not start, all it does now is show the Sonyericsson logo & then reboot. I have tried to use the restore part of the utility but when the application starts it simply reports that there is a connection error and that I should remove the battery and start over.
Any ideas on what I should do?

Try recovery mode on the update page a couple more times, some people here have said that this works.
If not the take it to your nearest service centre.
