I've just got my old desk top out of the loft. It's running on windows ME and I've decided to use it as my music database. But as I'm sure you all know iTunes(my prefered music player) doesn't work on ME(only XP). So my question to you all is "what should I use to rip my CD's and play them back?" It must be free and must use aac/mp4.
Please help me. I have done a quick search on the net, but not found anything free.

The ripper is only included with the pro ($19.95) version of Winamp and it doesn't rip to mp4
There's tons of ripping software that works with ME, here's more than a few for you to trawl through
