Hi all

Can anyone help.

I'm going abroad soon and taking my laptop. It is WIFI enabled and I will need to make use of this. However, I have never connected to a wifi spot before using a laptop (or a phone for that matter).
Can anyone point me in the direction of an article that tells me how to do this or if its simple, (and I understand it is quite), let me know directly here on the forum.

Much apprecaited, as always.

its easy, I do it all the time.

you just turn on the wifi and open a web page in your browser as you normally would. The service that you are connected to first shows you a sign up page so that you can log into an existing account or pay for usage one time. After that is complete it then usually forwards you to the page you were trying to open

couldn't be easier

Masseur

Thanks and apologies for being really dense...
But how do you 'turn on' the wifi on the computer?
Is it somewhere under Networks? (I'm using Windows XP, Office Professional).

-Also, good luck with KJam ...I think you said next week latest you would get it. Very eager to hear your thoughts once received.

sounds like its time to read the manual for your pc. On my vaio there is a switch on the front that lets me turn on and off the wifi and bluetooth.
