REPOSTED IN GENERAL-FORUM, think this forum might be the wrong one for this post...

Hello, hope someone can help me... I dont know if it might be something wrong with my K750... :/

Today I bought a Bluetooth dongle: Creative USB Adapter CB2436

Problem 1:
When I try to connect to the computer using "MediaPlayer remote controlling" (I dont know if this is precisely what its called in english since my UI is swedish), it works some times, and some times not.
Do anyone know what might be wrong?

Problem 2 (BIGGEST PROBLEM):
When I try to connect to the computer using "Desktop remote controlling" it works perfectly. HOWEVER after some time (30 seks or so) my K750i becomes unresponsive, lights up in white, then black for some seconds, then white again... after a minute or so it goes back to the "Startscreen" (where operator-logo is displayed), so it have exit the "remote control", but Bluetooth is still activated...
Anyone else experiencing this problem?
Any suggestions what I should do/try to fix it?

Hope someone can help me... thanks in advance! thanks for taking the time to read this even if you havent got a sollution.

greets
Mikael

Have you got the R1L002 f/w? check using >*
I have experienced BT bugs with the K750i and all caused the phone to reboot (what you have described) and sometimes just crash...

There is no solution that I can think of...

I have a theory about it though and it only applies if you use a USB 1.1 or 1.2 BT dongle to connect to phone (K750i) which is a BT 2.0 device.... And you do...

Since the BT2.0 is backward compatible with other BT versions there could be a bug that causes the phone to crash when it receives anything else than a 2.0 bt signal....

That is the simple version of the theory...

Of course if anyone has a BT 2.0 dongle and experiences same crashes well then thats that theory out the door...

Thanks for the answer Leviath.
I guess I should have posted in this thread too that I solved the problem. It haven't crashed since.

Instead of using the creative-drivers which came with the BT-dongle I tried using the build in Windows-drivers (I think) and they work perfectly.

I have used both the drivers that came with the dongle or just the windows instead, the truth is it makes no difference here.. I have had with this K750i 3 of the same, invariably it crashes with one particular aspect of BT and media player. Try it if you want....

Start your phone BT b4 or after you start the media player now start a song playing...

Next you need to send a file to the phone using BT....

Theoreticaly the phone should pause the player and receive the file and then resume the playing... On all my K750i it crashed the phone....

the same holds true if your listening to a song and have a BT headset and receive a call....

Your welcome for the answer, the truth is I didnt help at all...

I cannot replicate that problem....

I have R1L002. I can send a file to my K750 while media player is playing a song and it doesn't crash. I use a BT version 1.2 adapter.

bt compatibility can vary between combinations of devices.

@max_wedge

I dont think it applies to a BT dongle and a k750i....

Care to gives a few examples of what is not compatible... and should be??

Well, I don't know because I've never had a problem. I don't use bluetooth headset's as a rule, but I use bt to copy files alot, and sync contacts etc. The only problem I have is with my Belkin dongle (never have a problem with my Dlink dongle). My belkin dongle won't let me add devices from the computer (example to pair my phone, I have to initiate the search from the phone, not the computer). My Dlink dongle works either way. Note I've also never had bluetooth file transfers fail halfway through.

However many peeps in this forum claim regular problems with compatibility - for example some headsets work some don't.

So I'm concluding (rather than assume all those peeps are stupid) that bluetooth compatibility is not 100% between all phones and all headsets.

I think this is a common problem (bt headsets not working with one phone but working with another).

@max_wedge

I have a belkin dongle and I have pared the whole lot K750i's, PDA etc... In fact theyr all paired...

However wilst I dont have problems with the Belkin dongle it seems that the combinations of playing a song on media player K750i and transfer a file to phone via BT makes the phone crash (4xK750i displayed this)

Otherwise headsets work great with it.... I tried all the shops headsets they all paired they all worked just fine...
