I was hoping that the K750 would be available to the U.S. with an 850 band. Instead a Motorola with a VGA cam and 100 song capacity, is being pushed by Cingular.
Grrrrrr......

The problem is with the 850 band. I will lose signal in most places, as my provider is predominantly using a 850 band.

So i take it the W800i does not support the 850 band in the US ?
Ive just looked on the SE USA website, and it said the W800i supports the same bands as normal. Strange they didnt include the 850.
You could always try a different operator that supports other bands..

@etaab
Certain providers here, such as T-Mobile support 1900 only.
Cingular has it, however it is set up in a way where it is first filtered through the 850 band rendering a 1900 only, useless in most areas.

So, why would SE with their cell phone wizardry release a phone only capable of using limited bands..

I just got a great deal a few months ago. The catch was signing into a 2 year contract. I have 5 phones on this contract. It would cost $200.00 in penalties, for each phone dropped from the plan.
I'm stuck............
