I updated my K750i this morning via SE online services, but now my phone tells me that it is an W800i.
What the heck is this?
I had to do a master reset to get the phone to find the memory card.
I can also now only use English as phone laguage.
It seems to work now, but this is very strange isn't?
The phone reports model number W800i but firmware is R1N035
Camera SW: 4.5
ITP SW: 125 932 R1D
Content version: PA11
Custom:CDA102337/12 R5A

same problem happen to my phone this is realy annoying. now my pc can't recognaize the phone it's keep telling sonyericsson W800 new hardware founed. now i'm pissed off

That is no problem!
When the "new hardware sign shows just pick "search windows update" and you will get all the files you need and windows will install new drivers for the USB cable to work with W800i
It worked for me.

The PC recognises it as a W800i and after i did a Master Reset my Phone Status says W800i, too.
I'm wondering in the next update if W800 fw will be available it might put a W800 fw in it?
You can just download the W800 driver and the PC will recognise it again - as a W800i:

Has somebody solved the language-problem? Cause i still have only English!!!

I wished my k750i gave me that error message too
) Anyway, if you want to update ever, update under Australia, UK or Singapore SE websites - those are the three countries I found my k750i still operable after updating.

Mine too. And I have the w800i default theme. The orange one. You lose the theme after the master reset so save it. I also only have english as phone language and my phone is now recognized as a w800i. But I do not have the w800i walkman features! It's sitll the media player.
