Hi everyone,
I bought my debranded / unlocked K750i on ebay. I inmediately updated the software using the SonyEricsson Update Service everything went fine, I could use it without problems.
But my phone had installed chinese and some other asian languages plus english -of course- and I also wanted to have the spanish T9 so I could write SMS faster, so I decided to use davinci services after I read about them here on esato.
That was two months ago. Well the experience wasn't smooth AT ALL, the davinci crap deleted the asian languages, but actually left the chinese, also deleted the english T9, something that I DIDN'Twant, and at first left my cell phone unoperative 'cause I hadn't purchased the credit beforehand. (SHOULDN'T they warn you about this BEFORE letting you download and run their software???????)
I emailed them to let them know that I wanted the english T9 again, and basically they washed their hands!

And what I'm most concerned about now is that I want to update to the new firmware (R1N) using again the SEUS and I get a message on the SonyEricsson website telling me that "Your Operator doesn't allow this service"
Is my phone now "locked"???
Do I have to pay again to davinci?? Isn't this very abusive of them??
Why did they leave an "operator" code on my phone so the SEUS won't update it????

Anyone knows how can I update my phone without having to use the davinci crap again???

No need for you to open your mouth that big since it was you who didn't read anything before flashing your phone using DaVinci! I don't get it - people come here screaming all the time that something went wrong using DaVinci! Nothing went wrong at their side - YOU didn't read what you was supposed to read and now you stand there like a fool and it's YOUR own fault!

Use the READ ME files more often and at least half of all posts here at Esato wouldn't be posted!

And In what point did you answer the question WHY CAN I USE NOW THE OFFICIAL SONY ERICSSON WEBSITE?????
I DID PAY FOR A SERVICE OF HAVING MORE LANGUAGES ON MY PHONE AT THAT POINT ****NOT TO HAVE IT LOCKED NOW*** I Never expected them to do that, nor it was CLEARLY stated anywhere. Ok, I'm an idiot, but they are RIPPING OFF people. PERIOD.

I want to repeat again that is very ABUSIVE of them leaving your phone unoperational without any warning. And all esatoers who want to use the services should know about this.
And these are forums are supposed to help each other, give ideas, recommendations, etc. Not to make people's lifes miserable because some "people" decided to make profit in a very questionable way.

Didn't a lot of people use the davinci method to unbrand their phone so they would be able to use SEUS to update to the latest software version?

At least that was my impression when I debranded my phone using the davinci flasher.

Now I have the same problem when logging onto SEUS to get the latest software version.

Is there some magic combination of cad etc. in davinci you have to set to be able to ever use SEUS again??

well I personally have used davinci roughly 30 times on varous handsets and never had a problem as long as the correct settings were used, also why would davinci delete the english language unless you yourself had chosen the wrong flashing files? oh and your phone is locked due to the fact that the person that sold the phone to you most likely used davinci or other to unlock it, so re-flashing it using SEUS would have checked the IMEI number of your phone and then checked operator services (I think) so would have relocked to the original network that the IMEI number is registered to.

p.s. Oh and I completely agree with CyberVisitor here you are a complete idiot Read the many threads on using davinci and you can see what can (and in your case did) go wrong by not using correct setting. Have a nice night

The read me file is located on the davinci team website, check and one shall see..

All I see are some manuals. All of them does not state that my phone will be unusable on SEUS.

Debranding went fine using the davinci thing and I finalized using EMEA4 (I have no clue which one to use, it doesn't really say anywhere which one works with SEUS).

I don't see any disclaimers either.

Can you point me towards how I get SEUS to recognize my phone again? I get the same error message in SEUS as victor: "Your Operator doesn't allow this service"

Also I fail to see how a "business" such as davinci is relying on people to visit 3rd party forums and read through 100s of threads to know exactly which particular settings that has to be used for it to not go wrong.

So you used EMEA 4, I'm guessing you were trying to debrand a W800i then am I correct in saying?

Well back toy our problem, you needed to change the CDA number to the correct setting, these can be found in many threads if you use function here on Esato, anyway I have no sympathy if I'm being truely honest, by trying something you hadn't the knowledge to do you have completely voided your warrenty as the phone is now void and have ended up never being able to update over SES again without the need for reflashing your phone PROPERLY next time, sorry to be so harsh but its the truth, and the truth hurts.

And again, how can a business such as davinci rely on people to accidentally stumble across this forum to actually learn how to not screw up??

I would just like to know if there is any way for me to make my unbranded phone work on SEUS again.
