4.5 here. I got the R1N firmware which is the latest and I believe the greatest.

I have recently updated to 4.5, but I haven't noticed any difference. Picture quality in darker environment is still poor (lots of horizontal lines)

I got a K750i about a month ago and immediately did a firmware upgrade. I hadn't played around with the camera yet but when I did I was shocked. All my pictures came out with too much light and the colours were more painted than natural. Here's a sample of the photo I took just when I got the phone and after the firmware upgrade -

Now can you blame me for losing interest in the camera?

Then just last week I upgraded to the latest firmware because I heard it fixed the picture quality and I ask you to download both and place them beside each other. The picture is taken of the same scene at around the same time of day...

I hadn't changed or played around with settings. I just was amazed at the quality after I did the firmware upgrade and started to want to take pictures again. Crisp, crystal clear rich colour photos which are just beautiful!!

Same phone, same everything except just different firmware. The firmware version R1N035 Camera version 4.5 really made my photos come to life. Before that I was very unhappy with the camera now it's WOW!

that's shocking. My R1L has never been as bad as that first shot. My pics are like your second pic. The only time I get such soft focus hazy images as that first one is when my lense is filthy.

What version firmware were you on before updating?

I compared both the firmware versions by keeping 2 K750 phones side by side & found that there's a real difference in sharpness & colours in the pictures. R1N is much much better camerawise.

The camera version previously was 4.4 and the firmware was the one before R1N035 but I don't know the exact number just that it was the one before because I had already upgraded the firmware once and that was when I got those bad pics which made me wonder what all the fuss about the camera was. Now both my wife and I are just thrilled and we can't stop taking pictures!!
