you'll have to wait a while longer.
check last sunday's manila bulletin. there was an article there about a sony ericsson press briefing on aug 30. the asia pacific se people announced that the p800 won't be available until the 4th quarter. i have included an excerpt from the article below.

Sony Ericsson mobile phone … Should I, Should I Not?
By Edison D. Ong
Dazed.
That’s the state the local business, telecommunications and information technology media were in after the standing room only press briefing of Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications last August 30.
Noticing that not one person was smiling after the presentations of Claus Svensson, VP for Asia-Pacific Region; and Peter Ang, Product Marketing Manager for Asia-Pacific Region, Philippine Country Manager Dennis Manzano, declared “Raffle Time.”
Suddenly, laughter. Everyone was noisy and happy again.
There were many reasons why the smiles were gone for a moment. Namely, the high price, mental indigestion resulting from the burst of wonderful functions and features, skepticism, etc. Or perhaps, because they have to wait until the last quarter before they can buy, if ever, the Sony Ericcson venture’s flagship model, the highly advanced P800 phone.

How come none of the regional papers, in addition to the absent official announcement on SE website, states a definate delay? Never heard of any delay announced by SE...
If so, please publish the website of the media that has published this. Thanks

I'm excited over the phone and at the same time reluctant to get one. To me, it contradicts the idea of being a mobile phone... it's a bit too big! But it's so super high tech that you would really want to tinker with it. Oh well, I'll cross the bridge when I get there

I am not awfully excited about the P800. Took a peek at it today, and it did not make my heart skip a beat. I think it is butt ugly too. Sorry. My opinion. LOL. Dun flame me.

Yep, bulky is the term when comparing SE-P800 (117 x 59 x 27 mm) with N-7650 (114 x 56 x 26 mm). Plus the fact that it would really cost you.

Of course the phone will not hang so much once it is in general release-whenever that may be... The big question is how many people here in phils will buy it? From some of the news quotes posted on this site, it looks like the phone will retail for a whopping 40k plus.
