I've read a few sites today discussing that the iPod Nano screen scratches incredibly easy, for example this C/Net article where they even mention one company who have raised the price of their screen repair "due to LCD availability and overwhelming demand."

I've never had an iPod but this one did interest me, if not for myself, for my kids for Christmas

Are there any Esato members who are experiencing such problems?

My Ipod (40gb) has allways been in an Ipod sock (yeah I bought them for fun) and it's scratched, even at the white part ...

The features are great but the quality of plastic and it's design suck (imo), at least it's strongly built.

i didn't believe it at first but
i've kept mine in a very soft baggy cotton sleeve and only taken it out of the home once.
I handle it delicately.
And I've got a very fine scratch and a wierd little hairball type scratch.
*sighs*
I'm not touching it until Apple release their tubes.

Ahh, no this is screen cracking! hundreds of people have been complaining that the screens have cracked just buy having the in there pocket. People even that 'babysit' there ipod nano with the upmost of care....

Seems that as its extremly thin, the screen has barely any tolerence and will crack under light pressure.

indeed both look like there big issues....
if you put 'ipod nano' into Google News, all you get is:

Complaints Pile Up Over Nano's Display
iPod nano 'screen issues'
iPod nano 'damages easily'
iPod Nano "faulty", say customers
Alleged problems surfacing with Apple iPod Nano screen

doesnt look good for the Nano or should i say Nono

Are there any cases out there that can prevent this? like the Agent 18 shockproof ones that have been released for previous ipods?
