ok, the above email is clearly dodgy.
if any of you guys care to take a look at p910i completed listings on ebay you will find that 99% have been purchased by possible scammers.
so, your advice please. what do you think of the email above and more importantly, what methods do you employ to avoid scams on ebay?

ive just read bout this, might elp:
Requiring Immediate Payment: Overview
As a seller of an Auction-type Buy It Now listing or a fixed price (Buy It Now) listing, you have the option of requiring a buyer to pay immediately before that buyer can purchase your item. Specifically, the buyer must pay before the listing ends (unless it ends because the listing duration expired, because you ended the listing early, or because of other similar circumstances).
When a buyer clicks the Buy It Now button in your listing, he or she will be directed to pay immediately for the item via PayPal. Upon successfully completing the purchase, the listing will end and you will be directed to send the item.

i would also add that you will not ship the item in question till payment has cleared.
i think if you state that clearly it may put some scammers off, it wont stop the idots bidding then not paying but at least you are covering yourself a bit.
this way you only mail the goods when you recieve the paypal confirmation of payment or when the cheque has cleared in your bank account.
