hey guys need a quick reminder
i know how to browser my downstairs pc ....
\\192.168.1.2\
but i wanna browse it but with a logon i forgot what it was
e.g.
\\192.168.1.2:username:pass ??????

not 100 per cent bu quite often (unless youve changed it) username is often admin and password= password till changed

i wanna know where i input the username and pass because i have shared files that are in an account on the other pc which has a username and pass

password protect the folder that you want to browse I guess.

ARRGHHH U DONT GET ME ..AGAIN
i can connect to my other computer (XP) and browse its shared folders that are in user accoutns that have no password
BUT
i have also got shared folders in there that in an account with a username and password! and i want to find how to connect instead of as a guest....and WITH the username and password
e.g. i current browse my other pc by opneing a folder and typing
\\downstairs-pc
BUT that then makes u browse the folders as a GUEST
but i dont want to browse as a guest i want to browse as someone on that computer
e.g.
when u connect to an ftp of anything u wud do
ftp.255.255.255.0@username.password
