Taking mobile technology to the next level, these mobile phones will offer a variety of the most cutting-edge functions, such as motion recognition technology, TV output support, built-in HDDs, megapixel camera and MP3 players, all packaged in compact and sleek designs, which Samsung is well known for.

Samsung's flagship model for 2005, SGH D600 is the ultimate media phone specifically designed with luxury in mind, featuring a compact and stylish 'Intenna' and an elegant slide-up design. The Samsung i300 combining a full-spec MP3 player with mobile phones, is the world's first 3GB HDD embedded music smart phone with dial-wheel navigation to enjoy expanded music playing features. SGH-E760, the first phone in the Middle East to offer consumers an unprecedented '3D motion recognition' experience, offers advanced features including MP3 player, 1.3-megapixel camera, MPEG4 video recording, digital imaging in a high-quality 262-K LCD display.



D720, Samsung's first Symbian OS-based smartphone, offers versatile synchronization possibilities and the Z500, billed as the world's most compact 3G phone, for real-time video telephony and video streaming, features built-in megapixel and VGA cameras.

Speaking on Samsung's ambitious growth plans, Mr. Steve Han, Senior Manager - Telecommunications, Samsung Gulf Electronics (SGE) said: 'In the Middle East Samsung has continued to exceed consumer expectations, delivering phones that offer an unmatched communications experience. By leading design innovation and integrating advanced technology very early in our mobile phones, we have provided unique features with benefits and value for consumers. This strategy has strengthened our aspiration to achieving the number one position, and will enable the company capture 25 per cent of Middle East's mobile phone market share in 2005.

Samsung's 2005 technology and design leadership have included several advanced capabilities - such as the automatic slide-up design for a sleek look and easy-to-use comfort; blue-tooth connectivity, state-of-the-art echo cancellation technology for enhanced voice clarity; 1.3-megapixel built-in camera for superior digital-quality images, high quality video and audio playback functionality and a photo caller-ID for personalized experience.

'Samsung's mobile phones have consistently established new benchmarks in Middle East's mobile communications industry. By incorporating diverse technologies in its phones - from advanced functions for the upwardly mobile users to business-productivity features for the professional segment - Samsung has transformed the mobile phone into an intelligent handset, providing consumers a richer communications experience,' explained Mr. Sandeep Saihgal, Sales and Marketing Manager, SGE.

'Samsung's extensive mobile phone line-up, coupled with its first-to-market technology strategy, has positioned the company as a leader in the Middle East mobile communications industry,' Mr. Saihgal added.

Samsung's pavilion is located in GITEX in Hall B2-1 and is designed to offer consumer a direct experience of its 'Imagine' theme. Samsung Electronics is now rated as the world's number one consumer electronics brand, after it surpassed long entrenched player, Sony. The company's brand is valued at $14.9 billion and is ranked at 20th position among the top 100 global brands in a survey by BusinessWeek magazine and InterBrand Consultancy.

@indiandawg - Nice report mate! I am looking forward for the release of this D600 here in Manila (or maybe it's already out), I just wonder how much this will cost As the E720 is already in the market.
