Hello
My p900 has never quite done a flawless job for me so ever since I've had it (over a year) I've been looking for a better "smartphone".
I really need something with superb contact management & syncing with my PC including contact categories that get preserved during the syncing process. I'm having very erratic experiences trying to get my p900 sync with outlook. I remember fondly my old palm pda which was flawless in this respect.
So, I came across this:
http://translate.google.com/t[....]e=UTF-8&prev=%2Flanguage_tools
I hope that url works for you.
Does anyone know if this phone is available?
Otherwise, is there a palmOS smartphone that is decent?
thanks
mark

But I'm having problems syncing with windows mobile devices. I don't want to use outlook. it doen't preserve categories when I sync.
The new treo phone is not out for many months yet so I'm not concerned about that. At the moment I think I'm leaning towards buying a treo 650.

hmmm. I've not had any problems with that issue and indeed I just checked my categories are all there on my current device and all seems fine
edit: anyway, if you don't want to use outlook I guess I can't help much more as I rely heavily on that and use nothig else

You mean if you create categories in your outlook contacts and then sync, your phone will then automatically create a new category in the phone contacts and place the relevent contacts inside that category?

in windows mobile, while usnig the contacts application, there is a filter option on the menu. The filter allows you to choose all categories, or one or more categories to view. Those categories are the ones I defined in outlook for the contact
I'm currently using the i-mate JasJar and was using the JAM before that but I have a long history with pocketpc and windows mobile devices
