Which would win this race? Nokia 3250 or SE K750i(W800i)?

Hmm.. It's really quite subjective. I'd say the k750 looks better, but the 3250 is more powerful since it's a symbian smartphone. The other specs are similar, 2mp camera, memory card expansion slot. But the 3250 had a normal 3.5mm audio jack though.

I didn't particularly like the odd looks of the 3250...so for me its the K7 or the W8.. But, when it comes to the features list, imho the 3250 is a wiser choice...(imho)

EDGE is only relevant in certain markets, and mostly eclipsed by 3G, so why compare non-edge phones to edge. You either need edge or you don't, so you never compare edge phones against non-edge phones in the real world. However you are right, it is a "feature" that K750 doesn't have.
Symbian OS, yes agree. Still as we have fought out many times
I don't believe smartphone os is a necessity for a good phone. However I do believe all phones will one day run multi-tasking OS's.
I agree that SE stuffed up on USB plug and play. In practice however I find that once drivers installed at a few places, I no longer need the cable (if I'm going to carry a cable, why not a card reader anyway, for the odd occasion?)
The standard 3.5mm jack? As Arez says, isn't that the same deal with K750, also through an adapter?
Okay so the screens bigger. I actually agree that the K750 is small and would have expected about 40% more screen real estate myself after upgrading from the K700.
You are almost dead wrong about your music/video claim, imho. The only real difference is the REAL support, which from what I understand is supplied through software not hardware support. You would expect REAL audio support from a smartphone, since it can be implemented easily through software, but I don't want to see Real at the hardware level. I'd rather there only be support for a couple of free, good quality codecs and leave the proprietary systems for operators to implement if they so desire through branding and packaging arrangements.
Here is SE's list of supported Audio formats, most of which you claim K750 doesn't have:
MP3 (192 kbit/s for local playback), MP4, M4A, 3GP(Audio encoded in AAC or AMR), AMR, WAV, G-MIDI (level 1 with 40 voices polyphony)
MP4 (video: MPEG4, audio: AAC or AMR), 3GP (video: MPEG4 or H.263, audio: AAC or AMR)
Streaming transport: RTSP according to 3GPP
(whizz whizz - sound of light saber dueling)

ok. u r right on the 3.5mm jack (same concept as W800). pls excuse my inaccuracies as I only skimmed thru the 3250 specs. (btw: dont have much interest in analysing the 3250)

my mistake in the just doing a cut+paste of the format supported by3250 and forgetting to take out those that are supported by K750/W800. Suffice to say with software support 3250 supports many more media format (incl. ogg, xvid, divx, avi etc) than K750/W800.
i dont think we need to go thru the merit of smartphone again. If you look at the stock 3250 and K750/W800, it is quite apparent that 3250 has more functionalities than K750/W800. And add to this fact that 3250 is not a premium phone like the W800.
