I have just bought a p910i and am happy with it. Good pda phone with good features and speed.
But I havent been able to use it to connect my pc or laptop to the internet thru gprs.
The phone is recognized by the pc, I am using the docking station that comes bundled with the phone.
I created the dun thru the wizard, and when i try to connect, the computer dials *99****2#. Then it says modem on the remote computer not responding and disconnects with err code 777.
I tried *99****1# to *99****9#
to no avail.
The gprs on phone is working fine.
Somebody pleasehelpme out.

Naah...that wouldnt work...im guessing youve installed the pc suite. And when the pc detects the phone as connected, you get the wriggling line and the phone icons in the taskbar. Right click on the wriggling line..then connection properties...now you should have a box that pops up with a list of com ports...one of them should show up as connected...this is the port being used to connect to the docking station. Uncheck the box next to this port and close the box. Also, take your phone off the station and go to control panel..connections..cable...and select modem.
Place phone back on sync station...and ensure that the docking station port is still unchecked, by checking the connection properties. Now dial the *99***2# and it should connect fine

I hope you have full gprs active...that is required for net on pc through gprs

Thanks Mrao, it helped am posting this msg from my laptop. It connected. This means, I was doing one step wrong, not disconnecting the phone from the sync station after disabling the USB port from the connection monitor.
I wonder who wrote the manual, they ommitted this otherwise vital step.
To whizkid, thanks for trying to help. But I had already written in my first message that I tried *99****1# to *99****9#, and nothing worked. So your reply was not helpfull. But it might have hlped you instead, if you are trying to increase your forum post count

hmmm.. The info here might come in handy if (ever) I take the plunge to use Airtel.
@Kama- haven't you already made that 7710 work faster, better by replacing it with P910i ?
Whiz Whizzy Whizzyy- Hey KamaC- bliv me on this one- This ruffian Whiz has actually been trying to reduce some of his posts.
Why, our very own Mrao is touching 2000.
Not that they are bothered.
BtW- @Kama> What all Apps/ Software have you added, like to add on the UiQ ?
