Hello everyone,

I am using Opera Mini for about one month now. My hand set is K750i. Earlier, i was using the firware R1L, while using R1L, GPRS once connected would remain until there is no usage for about 30 mins, only then the globe sign on the right hand top of the browser used to disappear.

Ever since i have updated K750i firware to R1N, i have noticed that using same Opera Mini, it get disconnected like every 2nd minute or so, due to which the GPRS sessions charged to my have increased significantly. I have tried to used Opera HI-FI as well but the same problem still persists. It disconnects specially when i press the BACK key.

I thought that there was something wrong with my GPRS, therefore, i gave a try to using the in built browser of K750i and was surprised to find that i didnt disconnected at all. So i concluded that my service provider's GPRS is working perfect, otherwise, had there been any problem with GPRS, the in built browser would also face the same problem of dis-connection.

I would like to mention here that my service provider charges me for 64KB session, meaining thereby that if i use 1KB or 64KB i will be charged the same, and everytime i connect i will be charged for session of 64KB. THis continous disconnection is making GPRS very very expensive to use for me.

Anyone else is facing this same problem as i do? and what is the possible solution? is it rectifiable? Anyone having any suggestion?

Hello all,

i tried to check whether there is something wrong with my K750i or is it something to do with Opera Mini, so i inserted my SIM in my other phone (k500i) and to my amazment, there was no disconnection that i face with k750i. The session did not disconnected with pressing of back key while using Opera Mini and neither it was disconnecting and re-connecting using the E-MSN Messenger version 6.0 as it do while using on k750i version R1N.

Has anyone got a clue to this problem of mine? please help me out, i would really apppreciate ur comments in this regard.
