O2 apparently has a new model called Xda Atom, and looking at its specs this fone rocks! And it looks nicer than the xda mini pro aka htc wizard imo...

The specs are great! I'd definitely choose this over the XDA II mini. I'm curious if they have improved the quality of the sound, and camera and the stability of the OS. The mini's camera was terrible for a 1.3 MP and the sound was the worst. I hope they have improved the quality, not just the specs this time.

Has anybody any experience with Windows Mobile 5.0? How is it compared to WM 2003?

diz iz something i found

Windows Mobile 5.0

Windows Mobile 5.0 is a major revision of the Windows Mobile software. One of the most important features is that it’s ROM-based: all applications and data are stored in ROM. And since ROM is nonvolatile, if your battery goes dead your data remains in memory, unlike the previous generations of devices.

Another key feature is the “soft buttons,” which are similar to the navigation buttons on a cell phone and allow you to operate your device without a stylus.

Too bad windows 5.0 (as all prevous versions) only support upto 65000 (16bit) colours. Most pda's, like mine, have a 16,7mln colour tft screen, but only show 65000 because of OS limits. But having 16,7m instead of 65k coulors is a major slowdown on the already limited bandwith on a pda (processor is 400 to 600mhz, but limited bus speed (100mhz?) and slow GPU), that's why the limit, by the os
