Anyone activated the singtel MMS yet? Auto activate it through sms and then tried sending a pic to myself but keep failing, stating "communication or network error, please check setting..."

If you are on singtel, you can activate it by sending this message "set mms 68" (if you are t68 users) to 343327. A respond thru sms will auto activate your account (provided if you have GPRS activated first).

Anyone tried? It's free til end month.

If you get it activated, do send something to me for trail...

I have sent to you already. Hope you like it.

I took around 20 minutes talking over the phone with the e-ideas operator to get the mms setting working.

I think there's some problem with singtel setting, its not that compatible with t68. Both me and my friend were unable to receive the setting after sending the message. We have to call the operator for help.

The operator told me that there will be some resolution problem when sending/receiving from 7650. And the max size is 30kb.

It not free we still have to pay for the gprs. In the future I wonder how they are going to charge. I prefer the present system where we pay according to gprs charges. If need to mms message + gprs data charges then it will be too expensive to use it.

Please give your view

I live in the UK, but have friends in Singapore with whom I want to send MMS to each other. I know MMS is initially only between Singtel users, but have anybody got any idea when it will be compatible with overseas network, just like SMS?

In the UK, networks say it will not be until mid-2003 at the earliest.......

The GPRS cost is about $0.005 per kilobyte.

MMS can only be viewed via the website if a singtel user send it over to M1.
